This is your ISP's approximate location, not yours. IP geolocation is often off by tens or hundreds of miles. The pin is a guess, not a tracker.

What we don't know about you
- We don't run logging, analytics, or telemetry of our own. The
/api/ipFunction reads Cloudflare's edge data and returns it — no database, no file write, no queue, no log line we keep. - No commercial IP-intelligence vendor (ipinfo, MaxMind, ipapi, ipwho, ipify, etc.) ever sees your address. Cloudflare's edge already knew your IP because it routed this request to you; the Function just hands the same information back to the page.
- We don't set cookies. Cloudflare doesn't set any for this site either.
- We don't use analytics — no Google, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- We don't fingerprint your browser.
- One thing is stored in your browser: your light/dark theme preference, in
localStorage. It never leaves your device. - Your browser contacts exactly three domains because of this site:
findmyip.lol(this page, including/api/ip),uselessfacts.jsph.pl(the random fact), and — only if you scroll the map into view —tile.openstreetmap.org. - If you click Email this to someone, the page POSTs to
/api/sendand that Function relays one email via SMTP2GO — they keep standard delivery logs. The modal discloses this before you send, and the feature is entirely opt-in. - Cloudflare hosts the site, so Cloudflare's normal edge access logs exist (any hosted site has these). We have not added anything on top.
- Open DevTools → Network tab and verify it yourself.
